Icon Group (Icon) is proud to announce our Group CEO, Mark Middleton OAM, has been named a finalist for the 2025 Executive of the Year Awards for Australia.
This is Mark’s third nomination for Healthcare Executive of the Year, having been a finalist in 2016 and 2019, and is acknowledgment of his determination to reshape cancer care provision.
Since 2015, he has been the driving force behind Icon’s strategic growth. Beginning with a handful of centres in Australia, to a globally recognised integrated healthcare provider, Mark has remained steadfast in our mission to deliver the best care possible, to as many people as possible, as close to home as possible.
An iconic team
Throughout his career, Mark has championed innovation with an emphasis on patient-centricity. His authentic and purpose-led leadership is mirrored throughout Icon and acts as the central role model for the group.
From pioneering new technologies to connecting healthcare teams and services across the globe, Mark is spearheading the challenge of the global cancer burden.
Mark’s nomination reflects not only his personal achievements, but also the combined efforts of teams across Icon.

The 2025 Executive of the Year Award winners will be announced on 12 November in Melbourne.
